I wish that I was writing this message under better circumstances, but unfortunately Victoria has been unable to slow the spread of Covid-19 and we are now subject to stage 4 restrictions in Melbourne.
Our team have already taken voluntary precautionary measures during stage 3 and withdrawn our Melbourne based external sales representatives from duties. As of Thursday at 8am, we will also implement the following measures at our Dandenong South branch:
- In line with Victorian Government stage 4 restrictions our showroom will be open to trade customers only. We will be unable to service retail customers via our showroom counter.
- If you are a retail customer, we have created a contactless collection counter at the rear of our branch. You can place an order by calling (03) 9768 3537 or by visiting www.bolt.com.au and selecting collection from our Dandenong South branch, but you must not enter the showroom. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience.
You can view the full guide on stage 4 restrictions for Victorian business below, and see that we fit within the hardware, building and garden supplies retailing for trade section.

All of our existing Covid-Safe measures are still in place in line with Victorian government regulations.
Please feel free to contact us with any concerns, and I hope that you all stay safe as we once again battle Covid-19 together.
Regards,
Andrew Rodgers
Director
Most Australians have been touched by breast cancer in one way or another. In fact, one in every nine Australian women will be diagnosed with breast cancer by the age of 85. As the number of women afflicted with this terrible disease grows, so does the need for help and support.
Women dealing with gynaecological cancers often have specific needs and questions about their diagnosis and treatment options.
The QLD Cancer Council raises awareness about breast and gynaecological cancers, as well as funds, in support of the many thousands of women in Australia and their families who are affected by these cancers. This year Bolts & Industrial Supplies held another Pink Ribbon Day “Wear Pink” event at all five of our stores to raise money for women’s cancer. The day was a great success and the entire team managed to raise almost $2500 (as well as managing to look very pretty in pink).
Congratulations everyone, and thank you for a job well done! Lets do it again in 2015!
Check out all of the photos from our “Wear Pink” day below.

It is with great pleasure that we can now announce the opening of our new store in Bathurst!
Bolts and Industrial Supplies has been a family owned and operated business for 40 years and the business is still in the family name to this day. Our decision to expand further into the New South Wales market heralds a new and exciting future for our company.
We are very excited to welcome two new additions to our fantastic team, Roger and Fiona. Their combined knowledge of fasteners, cutting tools and engineering and hardware products are invaluable and they will be able to handle any technical questions you may have.
Lockjaw – A Premium Plier Range for the Industrial, Trade and DIY markets.
Lockjaw Self Adjusting Pliers provide the versatility of standard locking pliers. However, that’s where the comparison ends.
No knob, no hastle…
Traditional locking pliers require two hands to adjust the jaw opening for each task.
The Lockjaw patented ‘Set and Forget’ pressure control screw locking mechanism allows the jaws to automatically adjust to any size object for fast, easy one-handed operation!
Optimised endmill for highly alloyed steels offers end users an edge in the market
Sutton Tools has launched the latest addition to complement its Harmony family of endmills. The new VA-Harmony EndMill has been engineered specifically for milling stainless steels and super alloys—such as austenitic grades 304 and 316, duplex grades, as well as inconels 718 and 725.
Available in diameters from 6mm to 20mm, the VA-Harmony Endmill is ideal for a range of milling operations, including finishing, side cutting, oblique cuts, roughing and slotting, all with the one tool!
The VA-Harmony Endmill has been engineered to deliver optimised performance. The design incorporates an ultra-fine micro grain carbide base material, combined with the Balzers Oerlikon Helica multi-layer coating. Together with the 40/42-degree unequal flute helix and the 45-degree corner chamfering edge-protection, the VA-Harmony Endmill outperforms competing endmills in both bench testing and end-user assessments.
The VA-Harmony Endmill delivers a winning combination of quality performance and longer tool life to component manufacturers for the oil & gas, aerospace, food & beverage, medical and marine industries.
